This Is For You
There is no accident you have been born into these times.
We are living in an age of excess and scarcity, of war, volatility, exhaustion, and surrounded by a culture in dire need...
Where the problem is typically dressed up as and sold as the solution.
And everyone talks about change, but looking around at the everyday reality of how people are living... the truth remains that the real change we are looking for, is far bigger than what the political realm can ever provide.
The question is---
How did we get here: where this nation is leading the world in depression, addiction and drug use, medication, ill health, prisons, and mass shootings? And where nations all over the globe are now the sum equivalent of one giant boiling pot?
What if it really could be different? What if this IS the generation that could break the entire cycle?
Isn't it about time that someone called out:
That therapists are now seeing therapists?
That self-help has turned into a profit machine?
And why the babies of movie stars (who consistently portray assassins) get more airtime than the genocide of millions?
How leadership has become conflated with celebrity and personal ambition.
That activism has become more of a trend and a status symbol instead of implementing actual solutions.
Aren't you tired of women thinking gold digging is an occupation? Or, of using fertility treatments and motherhood as if it were the latest accessory? Or what is equally tragic... a desperate way to complete themselves?
And, what about all the little girls who think it is cute to be dressing up like hookers?
Of everyone around you needing to constantly get a buzz to either come up or come down?
And no matter how many sleeping pills you take... aren't you tired of waking up tired?
The time has now come to ask and substantially answer:
Where does the pursuit of happiness ultimately lead? And how exactly is it connected to this epidemic of rampant depression and anxiety?
What are the actual origins of warfare and of violence?
Has racism in the 21st century gone away... or has it just metastasized and gone underground?
And the biggie: why is it that the great majority of humankind experiences peace for the first time only when they are about to die??
I am not right wing and I am not left wing. I'm not a pacifist, I'm not an activist, and I'm certainly not an idealist... I am a realist.
And in contrast to everything else that's out there, this is who I am.
I am a woman who knows it can be different. And not just because I live this reality in and of myself, but because I have helped now--- thousands of people to know peace and wake up to finally come home to themselves for the very first time in their lives. Most of them do not even know my last name. I have met these lives, helped free them back to themselves... then walked on, and got right back to the task of working to get these new paradigms out to the rest of our world.
Why?
Yes, the most important thing is for you to know the reason why I am doing this (insanely, yet exquisitely sane) undertaking.
It is the very same explanation as to why I have sacrificed everything and dedicated every ounce of my life to answer this call. I am doing this project completely and totally for one purpose: YOU. Your kids. Your parents. Your friends. Because all of you deserve to be living in a very different world than the one we are currently wading through. Suffering/numbness/disconnection should never be normalized and humanity does not have to be suffocating in darkness and hatred. There is another way and every human being deserves to freely know this option exists, because quite simply: it belongs to you. It has no price tag attached, no dogma to sign up for, and no political agenda to fulfill.
because, the real question is:
IF EVERYONE IS FOR THEMSELVES THEN WHO IS FOR THE PEOPLE?
(I will give you a giant hint... it is not Dr. Seuss, George Carlin, Hannah Arendt, or John Coltrane.) Though yes, they were most definitely in the ballpark, as all of their lives were calling out for a different way for human existence. They knew that life could be a mixture of laughter + substance + wisdom + beauty + aliveness + and that a civilized civilization was not an oxymoron. And their lives all ended with the implicit desire that we would, all of us, one day get there.
Look into the eyes of this global generation and you will see = they are your own eyes, staring back at you.
There is no more time to be dreaming for the future.
Today is tomorrow.
The Time Is Now.
Because perhaps the greatest form of instant gratification after all.... is, to wake up.
